About SCB Florida:
The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) is an international professional organization dedicated to promoting the scientific study of the phenomena that affect the maintenance, loss, and restoration of biological diversity.
Stretching from temperate to tropical climes, Florida encompasses many ecoregions resulting in a rich biological diversity that rivals most places in North America. It is also one of the fastest growing states in terms of human population and urban sprawl, making conservation an urgent priority.
Addressing these challenges in Florida, our chapter intends to continue support in conservation research and advocate science in decision-making processes at the management and policy level.
