Attaching files to E-Mail
Attaching files and photo's to e-mail I have been asked how to do this quite a lot of late so will try my best to explain it as simple as I can. Depending on what e-mail programme you use ie: outlook express, hotmail, yahoo, aol. I will start with Outlook express. once you have the page open to compile an e- mail there are all sorts of things at the top of the page, File EditViewInsertFormatToolsMessage Help The first thing to do is go to format and make sure rich text html is marked. next step, you click on insert you can either choose file or picture to insert, this will bring up your windows browser, look in: at the top has ^ to the right of the line normaly showing my documents, but I usually keep anything I have in folders on C: depending on where you have your photo or file saved click on ^ and change where you want to look for it. Once you have found photo or file click on it and it will appear in the File name: line Files of type: usually has All files (*.*) in the box, click attach. now you have attached a file or photo to an e-mail. I hope LOL
Hotmail start by compose then addressing your mail, click on attachments, browse which will open your windows explorer, follow instructions as above from Look in: to (*.*) click attach to message, your file or photo should now appear in a box under done, click on done. hopefully your file or photo will be attached, with hotmail it does not show until after you have sent it.
Yahoo with yahoo compose a new mail and address it, you then actually go to the bottom of the page where you will see attachments with (none) in the window and at the side of it edit attachment, click on edit attachment click on browse follow steps as in above for outlook look in: but with Yahoo it shows that the file is attached. AOL click on write mail once you have your new mail page open it should have attachments at the bottom of the page, once you click on this a pop-up window appears, on this it will have attach , detach, ok, help click on attach, windows box opens. so now you need to follow instructions as above in outlook from look in : then OK and send it should show it loading to send.
