G'day punters, fans, bands, and other associates.

Okay. We are a band, and Grant is writing a song called poo, or something along those lines.

This opening sentence encapsulates the nature and ethos of Flemish Bond: A four-piece band with a philosophy of fun and enjoyment for all. We do appear to have fun on stage purely because we do have fun on stage. We do take our music seriously and as a result gain the respect of our audiences and fellow performers.

Our unique style best described as Circus Punk (The Muppets meets the Sex Pistols) has gained us places in many band competitions.

1998: Angaston Show Battle of the Bands: 1st (Our first public performance)

1999: Angaston Show Battle of the Bands: 3rd Place

1999: Balaklava Battle of the Bands: Junior section 1st place and people's choice award

1999: North Kapunda Band Competition: 1st Place

1999: Kapunda Show Battle of the Bands: 2nd Place

1999: Yorketown Battle of the Bands: 1st Place

We have also played a variety of gigs from local primary school disco's to drunken yobbo's parties, and whilst this is fun, we are eager to break into the Adelaide metropolitan and hopefully national circuit.

We currently play a solid hours set of purely original, but very catchy and involving material that goes down well anywhere.

We are, as a general rule, better than average looking and present ourselves and our sound in a unique but commercially viable manner. Grant, our drummer, fancies himself a little too much, and despite a tendency to take off his shirt in a flood of self-indulgences, still manages to get the attention of girls who go so far as to fight over his coat hanger. Ashley, well versed in both lead and rhythm also manages to steal some attention from young teenyboppers that dig long hair and motor muscles. Jonathan, who we are all shit scared of, is the philosophical member of the band, and he captures the interest of the thinkers in our audiences. Unfortunately, he reminds us of Becker. He is annoying, he smells and he is very annoying, but he is a bass player and we put up with it. Tom's contribution on keyboard is mainly musical and tends to leave the aesthetics to the others.

In conclusion, we believe that eating Brussel sprouts is good for you, and so is listening to Flemish Bond. If you feel that you would like to, or could help others listen to Flemish Bond, please do not hesitate to contact us at the above address, as it is in the best interest of the general population.
