This is were I give all the info I can come by about flat tracking. Now I bet you want to know what you need. Well for straters you need a 4-wheeler. Or a dirt bike if thats the type of person you are. This is is about quads though. What you need...

Lowering kit- front and rear. These will lower you center of gravity and make it so you can take turns faster. Some people do not even have these a lot of people use tie down straps to lower their machines. Either works and you dont need to do this but out of all the things this is  ones of the most important.

Kill switch- theres no way of getting around this one. almost all tracks require a tether kill switch. Some people just put one on the bars and stuff the wire down by your bars so it looks like its on. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS AT ALL!!!!! my kill switch is hooked up and infact is the only way that i canturn my banshee off. DO NOT OVER LOOK KILL SWITCHES they are very important.

Tires- For most dirt tracks you need no-tread tires made for dirt or asphalt racing. American Racer makes them and also Hoosier makes them. When racing on concrete you can run knobbies but flat track tires are reccomended.

Sway bar- I do not have one of these but most will say you need one. They are suposed to transfer suspension loads from one side to the other or something like that. But are very expensive. i have found one made by some company called Rands that makes them for $189.99 but most you will find are $289+

Nerf Bars- Most people have them some tracks require them i reccomend them they are very nice for keeping people out of your space. when your racing people tend to be very close together. I Had someone come over my back tire and it scared me and thats it he never got close to me. this is not uncommon for people to rub and for wheels to collide.

Lights- Most tracks require you taping up your head and tail lights or removing them.

Overflows- SOme tracks have you put you radiator, carb overflows etc... in a collector. All you need is a soda can or bottle zip tied to your frame and the hoses stuffed in it.
