No one danced around the may-pole today when we received some bad news from a professional stand-pointand thats all I got to say about that.

May 2, 2007
After work and school, Amy, Jordan, and Ian kept busy baking cake and cup-cakes for some ones upcoming birthday.  While they were busy greasing pans and adding flower, Dan was joined by Lauren at Corals softball game where she hit her first inside-the-park homerun!

May 3, 2007
Softball practice, cake decorations, and packing for our weekend/birthday get-away were our focus this evening at the Florida Remberts house.

Happy 7th Birthday to Jordan!!!
After gymnastics, we packed up the car, picked up Riley, and headed to Ron Jons for the birthday extravaganza.  We ended up getting a killer room on the top floor overlooking the pool and everyone was very excited to get the party started.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!!!
We woke up in our room and were poolside in no time for the party.  Jordans other invited friend, Alyssa arrived at about 11 AM, cake and presents were soon after that, Riley departed at 2 PM, and the Shaffers arrived soon after that, which pretty much filled up the party day.  We reluctantly left the pool area to get ready for the next stage of the dayJordans dance show at the Cocoa Expo Springfest.  This special event would have been better if we didnt already have a full day, but sometimes schedules are out of our hands and that didnt stop us from having a good time.  We were met by Genese, Marisa, and Curtis at the stage.  Most of the dance studio performed and Jordans hip-hop class was fun to watch.  After the performance, we took advantage of the tickets and rode many of the rides until sundown.  We tried to make it back in time to fit a little swimming in before bedtime, but didnt find much luck and relaxed instead.

Happy Birthday to Cousin Tim!!!
Once we checked out of Ron Jons, it was time to get to work on the yard with the threat of rain on the way.  We finished our work by lunchtime and easily beat the storms which rolled in by early evening and even left us without power for a short while after the kids were in bed.

May 7, 2007
We got back to work and school unharmed, but tired.  Softball went off without a hitch also, but Jordan and Ian joined Amy at the ballfield while Dan completed tasks at home.

May 8, 2007
We used this day of no extracurricular activities to take some items off our to-do lists.

May 9, 2007
Happy Birthday to Aunt Lor!!!
Dan cleared the house by taking his turn with Jordan and Ian at Corals softball game so Amy could quietly do her chores.

May 10, 2007
Amy took the kids to the dentist for their check-up and every thing went well.  To go with Corals missing tooth from last visit and getting bumped up to adult toothpaste this visit, Jordan found out that she is blessed with a tooth coming in sideways, but no news on Ians teeth.  Later, Corals practice was cut short by rainyes, we finally got some rain!

May 11, 2007
Amy and Dan split duties between gymnastics and tee-ball and then we all met up at the house for dinnerthe excitement never ends with our new Friday nights.

May 12, 2007
Happy 30th Birthday to Marie (aka, Aunt Re Re)!!!
After Ian performed so well in his tee-ball game, we got home and worked our tails off.  Amy re-mulched the entire front area of our house and Dan washed off the entire patio/screen structure in the back.  Ian and Jordan spent most of the day swimming with Dad in the back or playing in the front with Mom.  Coral was at Laurens house most of the day.

May 13, 2007
Happy Mothers Day!!!
First thing was to get back in the good graces of God and we went to church.  After that, we enjoyed a nice breakfast and then the fruits of our labors from yesterday by sitting by the pool and swimming the entire afternoon away.  Once we had enough sun for one day, we took Amy out to the Roadhouse Grill for her Mothers Day feast of choice.

May 14, 2007
After work and school, Dan brought an additional kid home from aftercare, Quinn, one of Coral's classmates, who needed assistance to get to the GEMS spring performance.  Coral and the GEMS Showstoppers, the school band, choir, and string ensemble had their last show of the school year at the high school and Amy, Dan, Jordan, and Ian watched in appreciation.

May 15, 2007
After work and school, Dan and Ian took Zoey to the vets for a birthday (12th) shot, which was not a good present.  Coral spent the night working at the concession stand at school, but once Amy and Jordan arrived home, Amy and Ian were off to do the weekly food shopping while Dan and Jordan completed homework and other chores.

May 16, 2007
In the evening, Coral had her own cheering section at her game with some help from Dan, Lauren, and her soccer coachesthis indeed helped her perform and she had another nice game.

May 17, 2007
Today was all about Ians great NEWS and his graduation day.  During the day, the kids in the ceremony got to ride in a limo and practiced all the different facets of the show.  After work, school, practice, a little traffic problem, and Jordans hip-hop class, we were off to Ians pre-school graduation ceremony.  He did great with his line, G is for globe, in the shape of a spherethe seven continents are located here! as part of the alphabet and even did a front flip (with a little help) over the make-shift pummel horse.  The best part was when he forgot to switch the tassel because he was so excited to throw the hat in the air in celebration.  After the ceremony, we had some refreshments and got some pictures to close the evening.

May 18, 2007
Today consisted of our usual running around to get Jordan and Coral to gymnastics and Ian to tee-ball practice, which was his last for the year.

May 19, 2007
Before Ians tee-ball game, Dan attempted to turn the ignition to transport himself and Ian to the game in time, but to no availmore on that to come later.  After Dan and Ian got home from the well-played game (Amy, Jordan, and Coral stayed home to clean), we all received visitors from Pittsburgh via Orlando for the dayHeather, DJ, Nick, and Kasey all were kind enough to take some time from their vacation to come to the east coast to visit our home.  After the meet-and-greet session, we went to a very windy beach to play in the sand and ocean.  While the kids played and all had a great time, the adults caught up with each other.  We then returned home to clean up for a quick turn around for dinner at Azteca II in Cocoa Beach.

May 20, 2007
We once again made it to Sunday church and breakfast, which is a good thing.  We then visited the local garden nursery, but come home with nothing.  We used the rest of the day to wash the Caravan and cook Easter dinner a few weeks late.  (As you all may remember, Dan was sick for Easterso Happy belated Easter!)  After the roasted chicken was stripped to the bones, we continued with the Easter celebration by watching a few Easter videos and eating candy.

May 21, 2007
The day started off by getting the Jeep towed to get fixed and Dan and Amy rode into work together.  The good news is that the problem was not the alternator as we feared, but instead the new battery, which was covered by the warrantee.  We celebrated that stroke of luck and replaced the bald tires with some much needed new tires for the Jeep.  While Dan was taking care of this business at BJs Tire Shop, Amy, Jordan, and Ian went to Corals softball game.

May 22, 2007
After school and work, it was chore night at the Florida Remberts housewith no activities this evening, we took advantage by catching up with our work that needed to get done.

May 23, 2007
After a quiet day at work and school, it got real busy.  Dan, Coral, and Ian got Jordan to her dress rehearsal in time.  Soon after, Amy showed up and Dan, Coral, and Ian were on the road again to Corals game.  Amy and Jordan sat through the entire dance show with 2 acts, while Dan chased Ian around the park as they watched Corals game in which she played well.  After all activities we completed we all met back at the house for some healthy fast food.

May 24, 2007
With Jordans hip-hop class and Corals softball practice, we just knew it was Thursday.

May 25, 2007
Once we got the kids to gymnastics, Dan and Amy snuck out on a date which included dinner at La Fiesta and a dip in the hot tub at the Ron Jon Resort.

May 26, 2007
Dan took a trip to the west coast of Florida to visit Cousins Tim, Lyn, and Criss, Uncle Cyr, Aunt VV, Tom, and Jim.  Dan made great time and got in without a hitch, but the same could not be said for the crew from Pittsburgh, so Tim, Jim, and Dan had lunch by themselves, which gave them a chance to catch-up.  The plane was first cancelled, and then delayed, but by the time it did get to Tampa, Dan and Tim were there to greet the tired crew, then we checked them in, took a moment to reunite, cleaned up, and made our reservations for dinner.  After a very good dinner, we went to Tim and Jims place for dessert and video surprises of Tim and his new hobby of ballroom dancing.  This closed the day and Dan was back on the road.  Meanwhile on the other coast, Ian had his last tee-ball game of the season and Jordan got her hip-hop group and individual pictures taken.

May 27, 2007
We did our typical Sunday thing of church and breakfast to start the day off.  Dan then mowed the lawn while Amy went food shopping, but the big moment came later in the day.  It was Jordans big hip-hop recital with Murtas Dance Studio.  She did great and was a crowd-pleaser.  After the show, we went to Beef OBradys and celebrated the successful performance.

May 28, 2007
Happy Memorial Day!!!
We had a little get-together and celebrated a day off with the Shaffers and Durhams.  It turned out to be a great day and everyone had mucho fun (some had too much fun as they say).  Coral spent the day at rehearsals for the debut of Crazy for You.  She was also supposed to have a softball game, but that got cancelled.

May 29, 2007
After school, Amy picked up Jordan for her annual well visit and everything turned out fine.  Vital statistics given at the visit: 39 pounds (5 percentile) and 46 inches (25 percentile).  The opening night of GEMS Performing Arts Magnet 4th grade production of Crazy for You! was great!!!  Coral played Tess and did a wonderful job along with the rest of the cast and crew.  We were all quite impressed and cant wait to see the next show.

Temporary hiatuscheck back later.
