| January 7, 2001 (This is the First Entry) Jordan looks like she is ready to start crawling soon...we did some video of her trying to get going today...we'll keep you updated on this as it happens! January 8, 2001 As the "Quest for the Crawl" continues, Jordan is getting much better and it looks like there is no turning back for us now, she will be able to get at everything and ruin it...RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!! Dan has started back in the Fitness Center, we'll see how long this resolution lasts. January 9, 2001 Games Night...Coral beats Amy and Dan at Hungry, Hungry Hippos! and Amy is declared the Perfection Champion! January 10, 2001 Dan takes a day off from work and does a little golfing (score withheld), while Amy and the kids join a playgroup with Amy's new friend, Helen...Amy has the night off from the kids and goes out with Helen to see "What Women Want" (she gives it 5 stars out of 5). January 11, 2001 We decided to make the long trip to an Orlando mall (about an hour away), to get Coral and Jordan this "state-of-the-art" stroller from Babies R Us and miss "Friends". Dan signs up for the GRE on the 29th, and if he gets 1000 or more, he is going to University of Miami for his MS in Engineering! January 12, 2001 Dan went out after work to the Tiki Bar at the Port...not to rub it in, but...BOY, it is nice to be outside in January! January 13, 2001 Cleaned the pool, did some yard work and, oh yeah, got our first offer on our house! It's about time...only took 9 months! Now we can see how the open house goes. January 14, 2001 Open house went great! 3 people interested in renting our house. When it rains...We are going to go with the rental because it's more money, aren't we greedy! January 15, 2001 Day off for Dan (MLK Day)! We looked at new Jeeps because our lease is up in February. SURPRISE! We got a new lease on a 2001 Jeep. January 16, 2001 Amy went out to the Tiki Bar with MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) w/o the pre-schoolers...and she said "WOW, it's nice to be outside in January!" January 17, 2001 Did our "guests are coming ritual" of going to BJ's to "stock-up" with food. January 18, 2001 Did some more shopping before our guests arrive. January 19, 2001 Our guests arrived tonight, but too late for Coral, Jordan and Amy to go to the Airport to meet them, so Dan picked up Marie, Danielle, Jude, E, and VV, and then took Marie and Danielle to their hotel near Universal. There are some cool buildings over in that part of Orlando (International Drive). One building looked like it was upside-down, it was so cool January 20, 2001 The sisters Bradfield watched the girls while Dan and Amy met Marie and Danielle and went to Universal Studios and then to City Walk. We had a great time...we ate at this place called the Latin Quarter...we recommend that place very much...good food and there are shows every-so-often for your entertainment. January 21, 2001 The Bradfield girls went to St. Pete to visit cousin Tim and he had a surprise for them...they got to stay at the world famous "pink palace", Don CeSar Resort, at St. Pete Beach...it was very nice! While they off in St. Pete having the "funners", Amy and Dan took down the Christmas Stuff (which was still up so that the girls could see what our house looked like over Christmas)...and while up on the ladder, Dan found a hornet's nest and twisted his ankle trying to flee the scene. There goes that resolution of going to the Fitness Center before work...that would be two full weeks of working out, for those of you who placed bets. January 22, 2001 Dan took the day off because his ankle was sore and the girls traveled back from the Tampa Bay area. Amy got a call from Bionetics (the sub-contractor to Dan's company) for an interview on Thursday...cross your fingers! January 23, 2001 Dan took the day off, ankle still sore. Girls did some touring of the area. We all went to dinner at Carrabbas...very good Italian food! We had a great time! January 24, 2001 A good day for E, she got sunburn and won over $300 on the Sterling Cruise gambling boat! Don't worry the other two girls got all the men, food, and booze! They all had a great time and recommend going when you visit. Dan went back to work finally...ankle is doing much better! January 25, 2001 Amy had her interview with Rehab Works (Bionetics, which is the sub-contractor to Dynamac, Dan's company). The job is a part-time "medical" secretary for the Physical Therapists at KSC. It went well, so we will see? Amy, at least, got to get in KSC, so we went to take a look at the shuttle, which was in the VAB getting ready to go out to the pad (sorry, no pictures). Since it was the last night with the girls, we had a little party...we ordered Pizza and had snacks later that night. Sounds like the Bradfield girls had a great time at the Bolton Bed and Breakfast! January 26, 2001 Our guests left today, that's always sad. Amy rented "Coyote Ugly"...she gave it two thumbs up, Dan says "chick flick", Coral says "why do I have to go to bed?", and Jordan doesn't say much of anything right now! January 27, 2001 Dan studied for the GRE and Amy played with the kids. January 28, 2001 Super Bowl Sunday! Church...Study...Watch Game...Watch Survivor (yes, we are hooked) We went to Helen's house for the Super Bowl...Man! It is huge! They got a beautiful view of the river and a boat, maybe someday I will tell ya'll (like that southern accent?) about our trip on their boat. Sorry Eric, we cheated on you, we watched the game on someone else's big-screen TV. January 29, 2001 GRE Test Day...Yes, Dan finally took it and got the required amount of points to get into the University of Miami! He will be starting February 9th. The Program is Friday evenings and Saturday days from now until May 2002 and then Dan will have a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on engineering and operations management. January 30, 2001 Well the good news just doesn't stop!!!! Amy got the job with Rehab Works! She starts the 12th. So Amy and Dan will be both working out at KSC for the Life Sciences Support Contract (LSSC, Dynamac and Bionetics)...now we have to take care of daycare for the kids. Coral will be just staying later at Trinity Lutheran (her pre-school) and Jordan will be going to Daycare that Amy checked out. We are both very happy and excited about this news!!!! January 31, 2001 Dan was in Tampa all day for training and Amy had playgroup with the kids. |
