This Compass Plant is in its second growing season. It should have its first blossoms in its 3rd or 4th year. When mature it may stand 7 to 8 feet tall. Compass Plants are very long lived; some sources say they live more than a century. The roots of a mature Compass Plant may penetrate the soil up to 20 feet.
