Heckler & Koch USP IV (USP10) Heavy Pistol

Heckler & Koch USP V Mod 0
Replacing both the USP IV and the Pz M136, the USP V Mod 0 is a highly advanced pistol for the active combat Sections. Building on the old Mark 23 "SOCOM" pistol, the USP V Mod 0 follows in the same tradition, only differently. When it became apparent that the Pz M136 was incapable of meeting the needs of the SSG, Heckler & Koch engineers went back to the drawing boards. What they came up with may be the most advanced Heavy Pistol in the world. The weapon is blowback operated, as standard in all HK pistols. The slide locks back when the weapon has been emptied, allowing simply for the firer to slam another magazine and pull slightly, and the slide will chamber a round. Engineers have modified the slide system to also self-clean the action, preventing dirt from fouling the weapon, and making it highly reliable. A polymer outer frame is colored in olive drab, and is designed to break up the outline of the weapon (GM's discretion, the frame can offer a +1 to any Perception tests). This of course does not make the weapon harder to field strip, but also helps prevent the environment from fouling the weapon as well. Disassembly is accomplished by simply popping the pins, and the frame comes right off, and standard field stripping procedures follow. Different color configurations are available, for use in differing environments. The iron sights have been removed, instead offering a picatenny rail mount that can accept different sighting accessories.
Mounted as standard is the Knopler Model 2 COT-3 sight. Chambered in 10mm caseless to offer the firepower necessary for day to day operations allowing quick takedown of targets and has a 24 round double stacked clip for extended staying power that the original Mark 23 could not do. Manual clip release is mounted behind the trigger assembly, and manual locking of the slide is above it. Fully ambidextrous, it is also repeated on the other side. The frame itself is made of advanced alloys to dramatically reduce weight and features a modified TAG Rail Mount in front of the trigger guard to mount additional accessories. They got rid of the Smartlink II module, and instead made it internal, along with a rangefinder to improve accuracy. A solenoid trigger replaces the original hardware, reducing weight slightly, and improving accuracy as well at longer ranges. Used with the weapon is the Model 10-QD (Quick Detachable) silencer. Using the latest materials, it is designed through titanium, and marine sealing to provide a silencer able to be used after leaving the water with no reduction. The silencer is highly reliable, and needs little cleaning. It is attached/removed with a POS-LOCK system that even though it may be put through various bumps and shocks, it will stay on. The user simply has to press upward on the bottom lug, and it releases, and the reverse through attaching it. The barrel is modified to attach the silencer, and ends in a flash suppressor. It is lightweight (.25 kg, -2 to concealability). Additionally, Heckler & Koch offers two accessories to enhance it's capabilities. The first is an iron sight attachment that allows the weapon to be concealed, or for non cybered operatives. It offers a +1 to concealability, and weighs .1 kg. The second addition is a SureFire 730 tactical flashlight that attaches in front of the pistol grip. It allows rapid target acquisition and enhances viewing in dark areas. The beam is designed to be the tightest possible, to prevent opponents from finding the operative. It offers no concealability modifier, and weighs .15 kg.

*Some of you observant types will note that this is my rendition of the pistol in Space: Above and Beyond.
**With scope removed.
The USP V mounts an integral Smartlink II with a rangefinder. The solenoid trigger offers a -1 at Long and -2 at Extreme ranges for targeting numbers. I mounts the COT system as well, and the TAG Rail Mount can accept all standard accessories. With the scope removed, the weapon gets a +1 Concealability bonus. However, at Long ranges, add a +1 and +2 at Extreme range. The flash suppressor does not provide any recoil benefits.

Heckler & Koch CAWS-SG
The Heckler & Koch Close Assault Weapon System is an automatic shotgun design that was originally intended to be for the US Navy program of the same name. The intention was to provide a more adequate solution for close in engagements and is slowly replacing the Model 46 and 48 combat shotguns in SSG service. The design is bullpup in layout, with the magazine behind the trigger and has a ceramic frame reducing weight. It looks exactly like the original version, however, there are two lines on the scope mount to denote a standard model and an SSG model. The CAWS fires standard 12 gauge (19.5 x 76B) shells, allowing high commonality with other shotguns. However, the CAWS uses a higher chamber pressure rounds than the normal shotguns, allowing better engagement of targets. The body is made of multiple piece shell, made up of a ceramic frame to reduce weight, as well as other measures. The action is also sealed inside the shell, preventing dirt and other materials jamming the weapon, adding to its reliability. However, the weapon has been designed to be easily cleaned and maintained in the field.
To handle the recoil generated by the rounds, the designers installed an autostabilization stock to compensate, as well as adding pads in the butt of the stock to add to the compensation. Also added was a forward pistol grip to help stabilize the weapon, reducing the amount of muzzle climb when fired on burst mode. A Knopler COT-3 scope is mounted on top, as well as serving as a carrying handle, other scopes or sighting devices may be used with little modification. No iron sights are mounted, making the weapon only accurate with a scope. Other inclusions include an integral Smartlink II interface. This improves the accuracy of the weapon dramatically, but is only useful with slug rounds. The weapon is fully ambidextrous, with the cocking handle just under the scope, as well as the ejection port being on both sides, the user only has to do is fold up or down the plate that covers it. A manual selector is just above the trigger, also repeated on the other side, it can be set to Safe, Semi-auto, or Burst.

*Though a shotgun, use SMG ranges with high pressure rounds.
**For high pressure rounds/normal rounds do 10S.
The CAWS-SG comes equipped with Smartlink II standard, with COT wiring. The stock mounts shock pads that offer 2 points of compensation, as well as the autostabilization stock offerring 1 point. The forward handgrip offers an additional -1 when used.

High-Pressure Ammunition
High pressure ammunition costs 50% normal, and adds +2 to the Availability, and +1 to the Street Index. Normal shotgun ammunition may be used, but ranges are at normal shotgun ranges. Note that the weapon was designed to use the high pressure ammunition, and normal recoil rules are used, as with normal shotgun ammunition.
Submachine Guns

MP5/10A4-A6 Series (MP5/10N-A6/Model 329)*.
*This weapon is also caseless. And carries the Surefire tactical handguard, which has a low-light flashlight in the handguard, and adds .3 kg to the weapon weight. It can be activated on both sides by a pressure bar on the handgaurd, or controlled by the Smartlink. For additional information, it's on the bottom of this page.

Model 1500 series/MP9SD (MP9SD3 shown above)
Designed to replace the Model 229, the MP9SD (shown above) is more advanced, and more capable than it's predecessor. Unlike the Model 229, the weapon uses advanced materials to drastically reduce the weight of it. It mounts a full barrel suppressor and is top-fed by a 30 round clip that feeds 10mm caseless rounds. It was chosen to use the 10mm caseless to simplify logistics, and for it's higher power over the 9 x 19mm round. And the main benefit of the helical clip makes the weapon slimmer than the standard MP5 magazines, allowing it to be concealed easier, without having to use a lower capacity clip and reducing firepower. Ejecting the clip manually is fully ambidextrous, with the button behind the clip. It can either be removed as standard, with the top portion of the guide rail inclined so to allow efficient removal 3/4 of the clip, or the user can simply point the barrel downward, and allow gravity to do the rest. To prevent a high profile when firing the weapon, the sights are modified to to allow an accurate sight picture. When issued, the weapon comes with both left and right sights, and the famous diopter sights common to Heckler & Koch rifles and submachineguns. The front sight post is clipped into a groove. The front sight post is offset 45º while the rear diopter sight is as well. Removing the front sight is simple, with a depression in the mounting part that the user inserts a pen, or the allen wrench to release. This is attached by two screws, with mounting holes under the helical clip. Instead, this can be used to mount a scope mount that can accept all standard sighting accessories, with full integration of COT scopes when mounted. The design is equivalent to the "scope handle" configuration, allowing most scopes to be mounted without drastically reducing the concealability of the weapon. This also comes with the weapon, and can be mounted on either side.
Constant testing of this configuration has ensured that the weapon has the same accuracy as in all HK weapons. Unlike the standard "0-1-3-20" setting, the trigger mechanism only has the "0-1-3" setting, as it was not designed for full automatic fire, since it uses a barrel mounted suppressor, and can be selected manually, as it is fully ambidextrous, as well as the ejection port, which is used to eject any jammed rounds. However, the cocking handle is on the left side of the weapon. Accuracy is enhanced through several features. First is the wiring for Cyber Optic Triangulation, Smartlink II combined with a rangefinder to improve accuracy even further. The original trigger mechanism has been replaced, like the USP V, which allows better accuracy at greater distances, giving the MP9SD accuracy that of a target rifle. Since no recoil adjusting systems, such as Gas-Vents cannot be mounted, the designers incorporated the Electronic Recoil Adjuster, the same one used on the G-6K2. It allows the firer to fire off two three round bursts one after another without significant recoil. The buttcap of the weapon can be modified in three basic configurations, giving the MP9SD three designations. The SD1 configuration has a solid stock, the SD2 no stock, and the SD3 as shown with a sliding buttstock. The kit also comes with each stock configuration that allows adaptation as needed, using the Allen wrench that is used to mount the front and rear sights. While this is being issued to units, this is designed for the more "black" operations, where such a weapon is useful. The use of the Model 329 is used in more higher profile operations, such as special guard duty where they serve as "standard" security or other missions where the use of the MP9SD is more prohibitive, like ExecSec duties. Though exact in appearance to the market MP7SD, the difference between the two is that the MP7SD is lighter, and also the MP9SD has only one ring on the suppressor. Mounted in the pistol grip of the handle is a cleaning kit usable for field maintenance of the weapon.

*Concealability for all three versions:
MP9SD1/Model 1519 (solid stock): 4
MP9SD2/Model 1549 (no buttstock): 5
MP9SD3/Model 1529 (sliding stock): 5(4)
**Reduce the weight to 2.42 kilograms in the SD2 configuration.
Note that it requires a Complex Action to install/remove the stock configurations.

The weapon comes equipped with an Electronic Recoil Adjuster that is preset for 6 points of compensation. It also mounts a rangefinder combined with the Smartlink II, and is wired for COT scopes. The front and rear sights require each a Simple Action to mount, and remove. A +1 to concealability is gained with these removed. Common practice is to mount a scope, reduce concealability as normal, even though the equivalent "scope handle" option is present. For example, if the sights are removed, and an Image Magnification-3 scope is attached, it will still have a concealability of 5(4). The solenoid trigger offers a -1 modifier at Long Ranges, and -2 at Extreme ranges. It should be noted that if a character is ambidextrous, and wishes to have both sight systems (left and right) installed, reduce the Concealability by -1. The sight kit comes with these accessories:

Left/Right Front Sight Post
Left/Right Rear Sight Post
Allen Wrench
Left/Right Scope Mount
Solid stock
Sliding stock

All of this comes in a shockproof case that is weatherproofed. It has a Barrier rating of only 3.
