David laughed in his face. Wheeler struggled to free himself. "It's no use, you know. I, and I alone, now control every thing on this planet!" David laughed at him again. Wheeler seethed. David paused, "Now, let's see... what happens now... oh! I remember now! You want me to tell you my scheme, and then I'll leave an elaborate death trap for you. Not much has changed since my time as a Planeteer. But you know what?" David leaned into close to Wheeler and spoke quickly and softly into his ear. "I think I'll just kill you all with my bare hands!"
Wheeler began to thrash wildly in his chair. David pulled back, and the ring of Earth flashed. Bands of rock wrapped tightly about Wheeler's body and began to tighten. Wheeler screamed out in pain.
"STOP IT!" Linka screamed. "You're..." her voice softened, "killing him." David laughed at Linka. "Not yet my dear, and not like this." As David stopped talking the bands retreated into the chair, and Wheeler slumped down as best he could in the chair.
