| The Planeteers looked nervously between each other. Ma-Ti spoke up, "So... wh... what... what are you planning?" Gi looked over at Ma-Ti, terrified. Ma-Ti sat up in his chair staring into the eyes of David. David looked up and then down, angering Ma-Ti. He straightened up and spoke proudly, "So you didn't make the connection, eh? Well, I plan to recharge the world just like I did my ring here." He stopped. The Planeteers looked between each other again. Wheeler and Linka never broke their linked eyes. Planet walked around behind David, looking at the scenery. David cleared his throat. They all looked at him. "...And now we get to my favorite part of this whole thing!" David began. They all tried to push back farther into their chairs. "If I remember correctly, and I do, now that I have told you all my plans, it's time I set up my elaborate death sequence and leave, allowing you a chance to escape. I know how these thngs work you know... I'm afraid I can't let you prevent me from reaching my goal." The Planeteers were frozen. Part 14 |
