| Wheeler was amazed of what he saw around him. He couldn't believe that Captain Planet had his own pad. "Wow! This is better than the Bat-Cave!" exclaimed Wheeler. "You got a Cap Computer?" "Yeah, I surf the net on it," said Captain Planet. "Come, let me give you a tour." Captain Planet showed Wheeler his kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and rumpus room. In his bedroom, Wheeler discovered that the only clothing Captain Planet ever kept were supplies of boots and briefs. "I'll never forget how you forgot your boots on our first two episodes." "I was a nervous wreck," said Cap. "Check out my rumpus room. In his rumpus room, Cap had a stereo and tv, as well as his electric guitar. Cap started playing and singing for Wheeler, proving to him he does practice when they don't need him. After the music, Cap had Wheeler to sit down while he talked. "Wheeler, I want to know why you won't allow the girls and Ma-ti to join our band. And I want the truth." "Cap," Wheeler confessed, "this is my boy band! You, Kwame, and I are the grown boys of the band. And I want a hard rock sound. If I asked Linka to join, she'll probably take over the band with her keyboard playing while Gi takes over lead singing, ending up being a ballad band. This band's supposed to be a guy thing, my way of expressing my eco-views through music. Ma-Ti's too young to join, but I heard him play acoustic guitar." "And you're afraid if I saw him I'd quit the band. Right?" guessed Cap as Wheeler nodded. "Wheeler, things have a way of working out. Why not invite the girls and Ma-Ti." "And have another Josie and the Pussycats?" quipped Wheeler. "No way!" Then Captain Planet showed Wheeler a hole with five lights above that. "These five lights represent your powers. Kwame: green, you: red, Linka: white, Gi: blue, and Ma-Ti: yellow. When the five lights are lit, then I'm summoned to come up & help out. Or have band practice with you, chauvanist." "Don't call me a chauvanist!" snapped Wheeler. Captain Planet took Wheeler back to Hope Island after visiting his pad. Part 3 |
