To Insert Background
1. Click on Format
2. Choose Background
3. Click on a color
(If colors shown aren't acceptable, choose
More Color Option)
4. When desired color is found, click OK
Special Effects Procedues
Gradient
A. One Color (Optional)
     1. Adjust from Dark to Light
     2. Choose Shading Style
     3. Click OK
B. Two Colors (Optional)
     1. Choose Color-2 using drop sown menu
     2. Choose Shading Style
     3. Click OK
C. Pattern (Optional)
     1. Foreground (This is your first color choice)
     2. Choose Background
     3. Click on desired pattern style
     4. Click OK

Creating Slide Numbers/Adding Buttons
Note: The following procedures are optional for numbering your slides
A. Creating Slide Numbers (All slides at once)
     1. Click on View
     2. Choose Header and Footer
     3. Click on Date and Time (Optional)
     4. Click on Update Automatically (Optional)
     5. Click on Slide Number
     6. Click on Apply to All

B. Creating Slide Numbers (As you create each slide)
     1. After creating the slide, click on the text icon at the bottom o the screen
     2. Draw your text box
     3. Insert your slide number

C. Adding Buttons
     1. Click on Slideshow
     2. Choose Action Button
     3. Click on desired button type
     4. Take the (T) to where you want to place the button
     5. Left click and drag the (T) to open up your button
     6. New window will open up here
     7. Choose Mouse Click or Mouse Over
     8. Click on Hyperlink drop down menu
     9. Choose desired link
    10. Choose Slide to view entire show for button link
Recording Sound (Voice Recording)
1. Click on Insert
2. Choose Movie and Sounds
3. Choose Record Sound
4. Tape recorder icon will appear.   Record your voice and play back to make sure you are satisfied
5. If not, simply record again over top of your first one
6. When finished, click OK
7. Speaker icon will now appear on your slide
8. Drag icon to where you want it and adjust size
9. You can double click on the speaker icon to hear your recording or View Slideshow to hear your the speaker icon
Adding Sound/Movie (XP Procedures)

1. Click on Insert
2. Choose Movie or Sound
3. Click on your source where you want to get the movie or sound
4. Click on Preview to see what the Movie or Sound is like
5. You can now listen to/watch what you have selected
6. If you are satisfied, choose Insert
7. You will then be asked do you want the movie or sound to play in the slide show.  If you choose no, it will play when you click on it
