Chapter 18 Dumping
Well, it doesnt take long for Mr. Not-so-Perfect to give himself away. One night while talking on the phone, he asks Lonely-Heart to check on something hes bidding on with the worlds best online buying/selling website. He cant do it himself because he couldnt pay his ISP bill, so his internet is down. In order to check on his bid, she must use his login and password. Eureka! The login he uses is one of his other email account names! After she hangs up the phone call, she logs in to his email with that name and password and finds out the truth about him. Shes devastated. She knows that its not right to invade his privacy, but shes desperate to get rid of her doubts.
He has lots of email from one girl. She has wired him money several times, and hes promised to marry her. He even had the gall to email her from Lonely-Hearts home computer.
Lonely-Heart tries to warn the woman that hes a two-timer, but she wont listen to the truth. It doesnt matter. Hes actually a three-timer, and its all over for Lonely-Heart. She sends him a Not-so-dear John letter. She does get in touch with one of the other women and finds out that she is suspicious also. At least one of the others has been made aware of his true nature.
So, now Lonely-Heart is alone again, and wondering where she went oh-so-wrong. Was it allowing herself to trust so quickly? Or was it the need to be loved that colored her thinking?
It amazes her that her feelings went from affection to abhorrence in such a way, and so quickly. She told him from the very beginning that lying was the one thing that would turn her against him, and he promised to be up front with her at all times. Lies, all lies.
Since the breakup, Lonely-Heart has been spending more time with her Tribe. She makes time to play with her nieces and nephews. Getting in touch with her Inner Child, so to speak. Her Mature Woman mode hasnt been doing her any favors.
On another note dear readers, have you ever heard of Bells Palsy? Lonely-Heart suffered her first episode recently. Wonder if it had anything to do with the stress of loosing yet another possible mate? Go figure.
