When it was decided that the earthship would tow a large platform containing some industrial complex, a problem was created. it was necessary to explain how the ship could tow an object without interfering with its own exhaust. One of the first versions of this platform featured a double bank of cargo containers providing a channel for the expulsion of engine exhaust.
