18.12.03 I know this website hasn't been updated for years (no honestly it hasn't) but for all those true fans who keep checking back, or all those who just stumble across this band, Five Quid Short have officially split up. After a very fun a successful time,uni and other commitments meant that we had to call it a day. Just for a run down of where everyone has gone: Iain and Ali- Now in emocore outfit Darlison Sam and Kayt went on to join another ska-punk band called Grown at Home Rich M and Rich L now play acousitic style emo, still occasionally jamming and hoping to form something more offical in the near futue 14.10.02 Hey, just to let you know the Five Quid Short are still alive and kicking...all over the place. Anyway, we're gonna try and organise some gigs over xmas for when we return from uni so watch out, FQS ain't dead yet. :) 10.09.02 Well what did we all think? That was honestly, the biggest crowd we have played to, what an achievment, and thank you to everyone who showed up and skanked. Some photo's of our last 2 outings at the rose have been added, in gallery 6 and gallery 7, where you can find pics of the skanking monkey, crowd etc. PLease enjoy. accept for that, keep checking back for updates and we'll keep you posted with anymore gigs before we go to uni....oh, and after friday, we have decided that we are NOT gonna split up, defo!!! 01.09.02 PLEASE READ...We are playing a big gig this friday (6th sept) at the rose in rugeley. Contrary to popular opinion, this WONT be our last gig EVER, but uni dates have meant that we will only b able to play gigs in between term times from now on. So, because we will be away for large chunks at a time, and to mark the end of this crazy summer, we're gonna have one hell of a skankorific night. Everyone is invited as Five Quid Short aim to go out with one very big bang. Also for your enjoyment that night, will be BAD TASTE (making their giging debuts) and NO COMPLY (signed to deck-cheese records). So we hope to see everyone there, and we'll taking some good photos to put up on this site. Put on your ska hat, and bring out your punk shoes...cause we're gonna skank the night away! 08.08.02 Just a quick announcment which really has nothing to do with us. There is a big party at The Surgery (in stafford) next Thursday (15th August) celebrating GASWORKS's 1st birthday. All are invited and it promises to be one hell of a skankorific night.
