Interview with Greg from Time And Distance

518:Could you say your name and what you do in the band?
T&D: i'm greg and i play guitar and sing for the band time and distance. and i'm a scorpio.

518:How did time and distance come together?
T&D: basically, i got kicked out of the last band that i was in for being "too serious", which pretty much meant that i wanted to work and get somewhere with it, and no one else did. so i just decided after that to try things on my own and see what happened.

518: so where did the name of the band come from?
T&D: it's the two elements of missing someone, time, and distance.. the two most common things. be it in a relationship, friendship, or whatever

518: which song on your new ep out right now on i-surrender records describes you the best?
T&D: it's hard for me to pick, really. they're all really personal songs about situations i've been through and stuff. i think my favorite one is the first track, lost in me. the song is kind of me questioning why i'd put effort into something or someone who doesn't feel the same way about me, when there's a lot of better things i could be doing for myself

518: do you have a favorite venue or venues you like to play in?
T&D: playing at home is always fun, and i really like the state theater in florida, and the creepy crawl in st. louis a lot, too

518: so what's in your CD player right now?
T&D: straylight run, matchbox 20, fall out boy, brand new, cursive, and this band i'm good friends with from texas called a step behind. www.astepbehind.com

518: What is the coolest band you have played with and do you have any crazy stories from touring?
T&D: oh god, i've got so many stories. it's like we're magnets for weird people. homeless people, people on the street LOVE trying to talk to us. i was harassed by an indian in south dakota. it just never stops. coolest band to play with would've been either midtown, the movielife, or taking back sunday.

518: What made you get into a carrear in music?
T&D: the first time i heard green day, it's all i wanted to do

518: what are your plans for the next few months?
T&D: we're playing a few shows in january and february, we leave for tour at the end of february and get home at the end of april, that tour will cover the whole us and canada. then after that we'll start working on a new record

518:What's the last show you have been to and not performed?
T&D: warped tour this summer in pittsburgh when we had the day off

518: what's the best and worst part of being in a band?
T&D: the best part is getting to travel and meet people, and play shows and see the country... the worst goes hand in hand with the best, in that you're never home, the drives are long and generally boring, you don't always get enough sleep, etc etc

518: that's really all the questions I have I wanna thank greg from time and distance for taking time to do this interview..thanks
T&D: no problem. check out the site at www.timeanddistance.com and you can get free mp3s at www.purevolume.com .. and shouts out to i-surrender records, retrostar clothing, and a step behind for being awesome.
