Interview with Ryan from Rookie of the Year
518:Could you say your name and what you do in the band?
ROY:Ryan and i play guitar and sing in rookie of the year.
518:How did Rookie of the Year come together?
ROY:I started off first doing it solo and with time it began to be full band i was doing it as a joke at first while focusing on the band i was in before called Farewell to Fashion then i wanted to get signed to get a little ep out but i had enough songs to do a full length so i just did that aaron from copeland sings on the record some it was alot of fun to make
518:What sets you apart from other bands?
ROY:Well at the moment were touring as a three piece acoustic, bass, drums(3 peice kit) so its orignal we seem to be taken pretty well on the tour were on now selling a good amount of merch
518:Do you have a favorite venue or venue(s) you like to play in?
ROY:We played the masquerade last month it was amazing alot of kids came out that venue is in Atlanta.
518:IS 518 Music the best online music site ever?
ROY:Ohh yes..us and all the other bands you talk to, im sure are greatful to have people like you to get our music out.
518:What is the coolest band you have played with and do you have any crazy stories from touring?
ROY:This tour were on now is crazy... we have had alot of good times with all rights reserved there crazy guys alot of naked people in a mall thats all i have to say
518:What's in your CD player right now?
ROY:The new dead poetic... new cover song copeland record...rory, rory is a band on our label one eleven records there amazing i think thats it with cds i always listen to like 4 for a month till i get burned out on them
518:What's the last show you have been to and not performed?
ROY:Beloved.. there from kinda the same area were from there our good buds
518:What made you get into music?
ROY:I grew up listening to music when i was kid..Micheal W Smith was my favorite artist
518:What are your plans for the next few months?
ROY:Just touring alot
