Interview with Mike from Halifax
518:Could you say your name and what you do in the band?
H: I'm Mike and i'm the lead singer for the band Halifax
518:How did Halifax come together?
H:Actually it came up from the ashes of another band, chris and i found Kevin, Tommy, and Adam because they just happen to be our good friends, and we started writing music there's a little more behind the old halifax but we wont go into that.
518: Where did they name Halifax come from?
H:There's a lot of rumors goin around and to get rid of them its just from the city in nova scotia, lets leave it at that, lol, or you could ask the rest of the band and they'll give you the funniest answer you'll ever hear
518: How does the writing process go for you guys does one memeber step out or is it a joint process?
H:Its basically me writing the basis for the song, like the blueprint i guess, and then the rest of the band and myself make it into a song, it's kinda both i hate writing a song and it coming out exactly how i write it i love when the band changes it with their ideas, thats what halifax is.
518:On your new EP "Writers Reference" what is the song that most describes the band?
H:Sydney it's our single and favorite song
518:Do you have a favorite venue or venue(s) you like to play in?
H:well krome is fucking awesome, i love it there, and then i'd have to say the troubador in hollywood is my favoritewherever there is kids is where i have a great timethe venue doesnt even matter
518:So what's in your CD player right now?
H:Head Automatica, and Saosin
518:What is the coolest band you have played with and do you have any crazy stories from touring?
H:coolest band we've played with is the higher, they fucking rule, and crazy stories, we havent been around long enough for that yet lol.
518:What's the last show you have been to and not performed?
H:Ummmm midtown in hollywood they rule
518:What are your plans for the next few months?
H:Sort out what our future label plans are, and jjust tour as much as possible
