Interview with Gio and Chris from Glendora
518:Could you just state your name and what you do in the group?
Glen:I'm Gio and I sing vocals and Chris here is guitarist/womanizer...
518:How did Glendora come together?
Glen:Chris and I had seen each other in a few other bands, and decided to jam out a few times it just so happened that our music styles clicked so well that we decided to try writing together and get a little more serious. In time we decided to leave our other projects and concentrate on what eventually became Glendora.
518:Where did the name of the band come from?
GlenEhhh. I hate this question almost as much as... "Who do you sound like?"
518:You just released a 3 song demo what is your favorite song off it?
Glen:Id have to say that my favorite song on the demo is the one that isnt currently released from the backseat, just because it has to do w/ some recent events in my life Chris favorite is a 3-way tie between seasons, blue eyes, and tony danzas wild adventure.
518:Do you have a favorite venue(so) you like to play in?
Glen:Well, we recently spent a lot of our time writing and recording, so we havent played out as much as we would have hoped to, but we currently have some shows in the works and are definitely going to be playin out a lot in the near future, so ask us again in a few months and well have an answer
518:What do you have in your CD player right now and are there any records that are coming out that you think people should watch out for?
Glen:Im currently listening to Phantom Planets Guest and Chris is listening to Outkast The Love Below Are there any records we think you should look out for? Our good friends For Felix are coming out with something new soon, so look out for that.
518:What made you guys get into a career in music?
Glen:Basically, music is our lives and the one thing that makes us happy so the longer we can avoid getting a real job the better
518:What are your plans for the next few months?
Glen:Well be headin up to Boston in the next few weeks to finish recording our E.P. and in the meantime we are assembling a live band and so that we can begin to play out locally and do some touring around the U.S.
518:Well that's really all the questions I have could you just leave a sentence on the bottom for shout outs or other information you want people to know about you?
Glen:Thank you Savage for the interview, and I hope you all check out the songs we currently have up at www.purevolume.com/glendora... also, keep checkin back because well be releasing from the backseat within the next few weeks.
