Interview with Casey from ForeverDOWN

518:Could you say your name and what you do in the band?
foreverDOWN: My name is Casey and I am in foreverDOWN (if ya want to call it a band).

518:so how did forever down get started?
foreverDOWN: Well, I was in a band for two years called "Three's Too Many," and as it looked as we were going to be breaking up I wanted to keep doing music. I knew I would be moving soon and didn't have time to start a new band so I started doing solo acoustic stuff. My first song was just a guitar part I had and a poem that I put to the guitar part. And the first song "Another Cliche" was created. I played it for some friends and didn't really have the intentions of ever playing for an audience other than friends, family, and my bed room walls, but they encouraged me and I went from there I Guess.

518:How did you come up with the name forverDOWN was it off personal experinces?
foreverDOWN: Well I started an online journal about 2 months before I started writing my solo stuff and I called it foreverDOWN based on some hard times I had and even though it seemed as though things were never going to get better, they did. And its mostly just a reminder of how things may seem like they are going to be terrible forever, but as long as we stay focused on the things that matter most it will all work out.

518: You have an EP right now what is the title of that and when is your full length album expected to come out? Also, what song on the record best descibes you and your music?
foreverDOWN: My EP is titled "You Are Beautiful" and my full length is set for release on March 31st. It will have 10 tracks and be titled "Life Alone is No Life at All." As for what song best describes me and my music.. That's a hard one. I don't think that one particular song describes me or my music, but I think that for the most part the new album is going to have a unique sound and feel that as a whole describes me and my music.

518: Do you have a favorite venue or venue(s) you like to play in?
foreverDOWN: Well, I think so far my favorite show was my first show. It was unplanned and was kind of a last minute thing in front of like 300 people. But I really enjoy playing Swayze's. A great venue in Marietta. I also recently played "The Mug," a local venue in my home town Rome, GA and that was great fun.

518: What is the coolest band you have played with and do you have any crazy stories from touring?
foreverDOWN: Heh, I think I will plug a few local bands as for the coolest bands... I really enjoy playing with Liason and Plano. They are both from the Atlanta area. And I played with The Lyndsay Diaries once. That was pretty neat. I don't really have any crazy stories I don't guess, I think the craziest story I have is opening for a hardcore band. MY music actually went over pretty well and most people seemed to stay around. It was kinda scary though. A drastic change in style from Hardcore to Acoustic.

518: what made you get into music?
foreverDOWN: Well when I was in elementary school this guy in my neighborhood was in middle school and he could play guitar and I wanted to be cool like him so my mom signed me up for guitar lessons and I started those in 7th grade. Heh, everyone was a poser at one point and time. I am no different.

518: what are your plans for the next few months?
foreverDOWN: Well I of course have my full length coming out in March and then I plan to just play some shows around the southeast in GA, TN, FL, and SC until the summer gets here. Then I plan to hit up a full US tour.

518: well that's really all of the questions I have I wanna thanks Casey of foreverDOWN for taking this time to do an interview with me. is there anything else you would like to say?
foreverDOWN: Hmm, New songs up for download in the next few weeks. Join the mailing list and Thanks to everyone who supports my music!
