Hi there. This page needs a real update and some fixing in spots (I did get a B+ on this project...). For now, here is what we have been talking about, thinking about, and doing:
In the next few days/weeks/months Fiveminuteideas is changing our offical status from a C-Corp to a Non Profit. That means we are able to try and get grants and kind of morph in to a legit art/music promotion group. The term "art/music promotion group" makes me as uneasy as the phrase "booking agent" or "pr firm". But, I what we are tyring to do is simply help our friends and community, not secure a $5,000 gaurntee or sell a shitty band as "the next big thing". The ultimate goal is to become established,be able to hook people up however we can and find a homebase for shows and events. It will all happen, the question is how soon. I am finishing up the looooong in progress undergraduate degree and Jamie and Charlie and both searching for new jobs in a tough job market. So, if things drag, it is just life getting in the way. Stupid life. But, one day we will all land that high paying, low stress 9-5 that can afford us more free time to do good stuff.
