The Wrong
      Place
Sometimes when you least expect it you find yourself in a place where you never thought you could be. This is pretty much what happened to me one crisp winter day in Tennessee. The story you are about to read has a lot of truth to it mixed with a little Southern bull dukey hope you enjoy it.

I'm going for a walk I yelled. (as if any one would really care.) Out the door I rushed with faithful dog Double at my heels. Yes I know Double is a strange name for a dog but I guess you just had to be there the day she was born to understand. I enjoyed my long walks in the woods ever since we moved up here on the mountain. Sometimes I could stay gone for hours before I returned to face my reality. I am very blessed I have seven beautiful children and a loving man at home what more could I ask for?(Yeah right) As you can probably figure out my jaunts in the woods was the only peace and quiet I can find at home or should I say around home. Well I'm getting a little off the beaten path here so let's get on with the tall tale. Out the door I rushed with my dog Double at my heels. As we headed up the path behind my house I almost stopped dead in my tracks something deep in my soul was telling me not to go today. But as usual I went anyhow. You would think after 37 years I would learn to listen to that little voice in my head that says warning to continue would be stupid but oh well not me no not little ole me. We made it up to the main path in no time at all I was in a hurry to get away from the house that day. All my children seemed to be on the war path, and I knew before I was hauled off for child abuse I needed to get a break from it and leave poor dad to suffer.
We were almost a mile into the woods when I decided to go adventuring. I left the path and headed down the side of the mountain. I didn't usually leave the trail that had been cut by the various other mountain folks. But today I decided to be different. It started getting a little rocky and rough as I scaled my way down slowly. I should of realized there was a problem when Double kept barking at me and hanging back. She finally gave up and stayed with me I can imagine what she was thinking. (stupid human I have four legs and I know this is a bad idea and here she is with two legs climbing down this mountain).
I will admit I wasn't really using my thinking cap at the time or I would of realized that though it was quite difficult going down just think how hard it would be going back up. But as Forest Gump would say stupid is as stupid does and I did do the stupid thing. It took about an hour to reach the bottom and I knew it would take as long to get back but I wasn't worried after all there was still three hours to sunset. So off I went adventuring in the wild hoping to see a deer or fox, but thats not quite what happened. I rounded a small hill to the right of me and was startled by Doubles growling. "Hush." I said. You want to scare everything away? Little did I know I really wanted her to scare this away after all it was only a bear. I took one step forward when Double started tugging desperately at my pant leg. Stop it girl what is wrong with you? (This would be what my honey would call the duh reflex.) As soon as I said that, a very loud Grrr came from behind the trees. Uh oh I did it now Double lets get out of here! I didn't have to tell her twice however I had yet to convince the bear it was better that I leave.                                  continued on next page......
