From the Pastor's Pen

ARE YOU ENJOYING CHRIST?

There's a little chorus which goes this way:

"It is summertime in my heart,

It is summertime in my heart
Since Jesus saved me, new life He gave me,
When it's wintertime, it summer in my heart."

And that is because Jesus never takes a vacation, even though we need one.  It also means that wherever we are we should take time for worship praise.

Margie and I have appreciated all of you who have carried responsibility for the church's ministry in various departments.  Summertime is a little lighter, but the ministry goes on:  Sunday morning and evenings (with a few exceptions) and Wednesday prayer and Bible study fellowship.

On the other had it is also time to prepare for Rally Day, September 9th.  We gather together to full ministry.  Once exception this year. A youth ministry takes on a formal and Christ-centered emphasis.  All begins with Rally Day, September 9th.

Meanwhile, on July 1st, we will have a patriotic theme at worship while including Communion fellowship.  At 3:30 PM, will be the Corporate Prayer Fellowship for the entire church.  On July 8th, we will attend the great choir festival in the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove, NJ.  We will be leaving at 1:30 PM.  A second Corporate Prayer Fellowship will be held Sunday, August 19th at 4:00 PM.  Sunday, August 26th, we will attend the Great Tabernacle in Ocean City, NJ, to hear Dr. G. James Kennedy.

When you are away on vacation, bring back a copy of the church bulletin where you attended.

Remember: "Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

Blessings to all.
