Himalayans | New Zealands
Packing for shows can be nerve racking sometimes, especially when you're taking more than 10 rabbits of more than 1 breed. I have a container/box with an attached lid. It has 2 compartments contained in the lids that I can hold things like tatoo numbers and letter, nail clippers, just about anything small that is a must hve at a show.

DAWN dish soap is a good idea to have on hand in case your rabbit gets dirty somehow. It's not a good idea to wait till the day of the show to decide to groom your rabbit. Do this the week before and the night before. This saves so much time. Also, bring something to rinse the soap off your rabbit and a towel or two. My Himalayans constantly get dirty somehow and the dish soap is a wonderful thing to have on hand.

Paper towels. Usually I use paper towels instead of towels because they're what fits in my little container of "stuff". A roll is usually plenty and will last you many shows.

Nail clippers. Again, it's a good idea to clip your rabbits nails a week before the show or the night before so that you're not stressing over it and in a rush and stressing your rabbit out even more. Just in case though, because I've found I've missed someone's nails the day of the show, bring clippers.

Brushes. Obviously small animals brushes. I don't have wooly breeds so I just bring a small cat brush to give thema swift groom before the show. I usually take two just in case.

Craft wire. You can find this at Wal*Mart in the craft section for about $.97. It's convienient for those reluctant water bottles or cage clips. Also, it's great if you forget to grab the water bottle holders.

Grooming table or carpet squares. I just use a blanket or towel on top of my carriers. If you feel the need to buy a carpet square or grooming table, go ahead.

A wagon or cart of some sort. THIS IS THE GOD OF ALL RABBIT SHOWS! If you don't like carting those cages around and making constant trips back out to the car, invest in a wagon or cart. They're great!

Last but not least, PACKING. Packing is obviously essential in  preparing for the show. We have a nice green van that has excellent space in the back for all of our rabbits and supplies. Usually it's just me and my mom at shows, so we only need the front two seats. My dad takes the back two rows of seats out so that we comfortably seat the rabbits along with the wagon we take and box of supplies. If my little sister's going, he just takes the back row out and we somehow manage to fit all of the rabbits and wagon in their.

Also, good idea the night before if it's an early morning show and you have to leave at 4:30 in the morning, to pack the night before. Obviously put the rabbits in in the morning buts it"s not a bad idea to pack up the night before. This saves time in the morning and more time that you can sleep.

Atlas. Take this in case you get lost and your mother forgets to print out reverse directions and you end up getting stuck in Fort Wayne and everyones looking at you because you've got the back of the van open to let your rabbits breathe.

Teenagers. My mom thinks they're great investments on her half. Especially if they're 15 1/2 and have permits.  Great mom. Thanks.
