Jim Davies - Guitar
I love this guy. He's so nice. I've met him a couple times at concerts and he has always been really nice about signing stuff and having pictures taken. Actually, all the guys in the band are really nice about that stuff. But anyhow, this is Jim's page.

1 - How do you relax?
I watch a lot of videos, mostly comedy or gangster films. I've been reading quite a bit recently, stuff like Bukowski that Jon got me into. I love Nintendo and Playstation games, I listen to ALOT of music all the time and try to go clubbing every now and then, although this isn't exactly relaxing as I tend to feel ruined for days after!! I also play guitar as often as possible to keep me 'on it'.
2 - Which person do you most admire?
Can't think of any one person, I admire a lot of musicians, too many to mention.
3 - What are your favourite websites?
I only really visit pitchshifter.com, the internet is something I have yet to be excited by!!!
4 - What sucks at the moment?
That fact that new Labour are basically Tories!! Tony Blair?..more like Torie blur!!!! Aside from that, the English weather, the fact that I can count the number of new English rock bands that I like on 1 finger, it also sucks that we aren't touring although I'm sure in 6 months time I'll regret saying that.
5 - What bands would you like to tour with?
NOFX, Rage Against the Machine, Korn, the Jam, Helmet, Smashing Pumpkins, Atari Teenage Riot.
6 - What's your favourite meal?
I love vegetarian : chilli, curry, lasagne, sheperds pie!, mashed potatoes and this bean curd in black bean sauce dish from Evergreen in Nottingham..fantastic.
7 - What's your nickname?
I have the normal ones with a name like mine-Jimbo, Jimboy, Jimlad, Jimmy d, James etc...
8 - What's the best rumour that you've heard about Pitchshifter?
That we are all po-faced musical revolutionaries!!! Total bollocks.
9 - What have you got in your wallet?
Too many credit cards, video shop card, fake elvis i.d, money.
10 - How would you like to die?
Quick, happy, and by my own hand.
11 - What did you do before Pitchshifter?
I played in a few punk bands for a giggle, dodgy cover bands as a teenager, got into some session work, played with the Prodigy for a a year or so, I did guitars for their last album..blah..blah..blah
12 - When's your birthday?
The 18th October
13 - Who would you like Pitchshifter to remix?
Atari Teenage Riot, Prodigy
14 - What was the last thing you smashed up?
A Playstation controller when I got right to the end of 'Resident Evil' after playing for an hour and died without saving the game.
15 - What bands have blown you away live?
Rage at Reading, the Prodigy in their hayday, ATR on a good day, Chilli Peppers at Reading 99 (although I was totally hammered).
16 - When was the last time you feared for your life?
Everytime we fly!!!, I don't like flying and I have to keep telling my self it's gonna' be fine when we fly to stave off panic attacks!!!! (or just get drunk and forget it!!).
17 - What magazines/papers do you read?
I read music mags mostly-Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Future Music, Computer Music and some pop culture mags like FHM and Maxim.
18 - What do you do on tour when you're not onstage?
I try to "hold it all together"!!, I do start going mad after a month or so, I try to do the tourist thing, visit mad places, meet new cool people, write tunes, basically anything to stop myself going insane and getting drunk all the time.
19 - What's the biggest mistake you've made in your life?
I think everyone has made alot but i can't help thinking I've made more than most!! Too many to mention.
20 - What piece of technology has changed your life?
Probably computers, the e-mail thing is great and as far as recording goes computers are everything these days.
21 - What cartoons/comedy programmes do you watch?
I watch ALOT of comedy- South Park, Simpsons, Blackadder, Harry Enfield, Fast Show, Father Ted, Men Behaving Badly, all the Naked Gun films and police squads re-runs.
