The path fades as you descend a tall, sloping hill to the wide plain below. Wispy clouds conceal the sun, but a faint, pale light escapes to illuminate the atmosphere.
The painted grasses weave back and forth as the strong breeze flies overhead. As the grasses part, you catch a glimpse of something there, and again....over there. Yet only a glance. You cannot yet tell what it was.
"Greetings, stranger."
Spooked at the sound, you quickly look around you for the source. You see nothing. Suddenly, a large creature rises from the grass directly in front of you. "This is the site of the Sombra Callada akali." She states quietly. "Akali is faidian for group or herd. I am Niebla, a chevei. Dorple, our lead stallion, and the others are scattered around here." Within seconds, she dissolves back into the tall grasses, lost from sight. |
