You follow Deke in silence for an hour or so. Finally he stops. He looks around and scratches his head.

"That's not a good sign," you whisper to Merlyn.

"No, it's not," she agrees.

"Uhh...guys...I think...uh....I think we took a wrong turn somewhere back there."

"'Somewhere back there?'" Merlyn repeats.

"Uhh..." Deke continues. "Maybe we should backtrack a little while."

You shake your head impatiently. "We might as well just press on," you say. "What are the chances we're going to find the right pathway, especially now that the sun is setting? I mean, we'd have to have crazy good luck for something like that to happen!"
