...Then I'll huff and I'll puff....

GingerBlast '99

What?
Christmas is over and we can turn our heads toward some post-seasonal events such as....
Blowing up three 3 X 3 X 4 foot Gingerbread houses.

Me and a few others built it as our entry for a 'Toy Box Decorating' contest at our office. We won. And it appeared on CNN (homefront news). So its famous. And it has to be destroyed. Two other departments donated theirs for the occasion.

What is it:
U-haul box with graham crackers hot glued surrounding it. Caulk was used for the 'caulk.' Roof is 10 bags iced gingerbread cookies. Lots of accessories, licorice, Fruit stripe gum awnings, kitkat window ledges, etc. The other two are the same box, but decorated with different accessories.

Why destroy them?
Because.

Why explosives or fire?
It's a guy thing.

Who?

The BombSquad: Jim "I'll leave my car a mile away" Moses, Mark "It's blinking red!" Anderson (me), Todd "Uh, a balloon popped" Huddleston, Mr. Potato "You wanna put switches where?!?" Head the Destructor, and Chris "I'll be sprinting when it hits" Edwards.

How?
Acetylene and Oxygen in 2 balloons, in each house. The detonator is a jury rigged Mr. Potato Head.

I wired in a dual switch system for safety (I really recommend this). Both switches have to be on facing away from each other. Keeps a bump from setting it off. Oh yeah, don't do this at home...blah blah blah. Or if you do, videotape it.

What can you do to support us?
Uh...since we can't spend all our time blowing things up, if you like the movie and feel generous, send us a Playstation game. Or an email. We're easy.
