1. Q What's #Fireplace about?
__A This channel comprises of users who are mainly from United States while some are international students currently pursuing an education in the US. Most users are in their early twenties to late twenties however users of all age groups are welcome. Our topic for discussion is varied however we do not tolerate insulting comments or flammatory remarks. Our goal is to create a friendly channel of manageable size that is warm and cozy as well as a close-knitted community in cyberspace. __A The predominant language is English, followed by Chinese (Mandarin/Guo Yu/Putonghua, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Toisan, Fujian, Teochew), Melayu, Indonesian and Japanese. However, out of politeness and for the sake of other users who don't speak your language, English is the preferred universal language.

__A First of all don't panic. We will probably set up a temporary channel. The channel name will be put up on the Main Page of this website. With the availability of assistance and support from our friends, our channel security is ensured.

__A The user list is categorized into Bots, Operators, Special Guests, Friends, and Blacklisted Visitors.

• Bots - Self-explanatory. However, please note that unauthorized bots are not allowed. We do not reveal the versions of our bots or link our bots to yours.
• Operators - They are our trusted and responsible users who have been regulars to the channel and made #Fireplace their main resident channel. All operators are in the bot list.
• Special Guests - They are those who have helped to setup, protect and/or regain the channel but who are not residents of the channel. Most guests wish to remain anonymous. We thank them for their unending help and support.
• Friends - These are friends of the operators. We appreciate their stay in Fireplace.
• Blacklisted Visitors - These are visitors who have made attempts to take over the channel. Beware of them.
