Review:
Mizerable is, of course, the title track & it is a great blend of tragic violin, stunningly accurate drums, bass guitar & electric guitar used sparingly & tastefully. I love this song. Full-stop.
Story is an instrumental with delicate piano and violin lines that seem to tell a story of love & loss. Really. It's like watching a movie of you and a loved one who's now gone. Appropriate title. Oh & there's a French poem recited by Val'erie Blier(?!) towards the end.
Leeca, according to Mina-P, is derived from Leica, a German camera. You hear a crowd and then a guy singing Happy Birthday with a bad accent, and you'd probably imagine you were at someone's outdoor party. Picture-like.
Lapis starts off with waves rushing to shore. It's simple, with only piano and vocals that I can recall, but it's like looking out of your window at a vast ocean in the sunshine as you travel along the coast. Beautiful. However, it reminds me of the beginning of the 3rd FujiFilm ad, where Fdd stares out his train window at the blue, blue ocean.

All in all, I'd say you'd have to like this CD a lot for it to be worth its price. Its beauty lies in the fact that you can imagine four different worlds just by listening to it. For someone who's constantly looking for inspiration, this CD is a treasure and yes, my pocket is burnt, but burnt happily.

Note: When shown the cover, Sunshine #1 aka Mama Roach went, "It's a MAN?!! Are you sure he's not a...a... watchacallit?" (She meant transsexual, though I honestly can't see why a female would want to be a male)
