title: the named author: marianne curley character: arkarian, for his compassion, cool collectedness and his truth-seeing. what i like about it: the headquarters at ancient athens, the citadel, the poignant prologue and storyline what i'm not too sure about: the concept of guardians of time is a bit overused, and the writing style is simple, but that's because this book is aimed at readers around age 12 other notes: when i picked it up at the local library, it was because of the font and the smoky dark blue spine: modern typeface against an eerie forest; the effect is too haunting to resist |

title: the dark author: marianne curley character: arkarian what i like about it: arkarian gets in a lot of deep guano in this book, isabel gets a fantastic gift, and evil gets thwarted what i'm not too sure about: the POVs are from isabel or arkarian, and i get confused between the two sometimes other notes: i was so happy to pick this up at the library, not to mention the library near my place is poorly-stocked, but once in a while, a real treasure like this pops up. |
