Quite possibly the most
amazing sounding music ever heard by my ears comes straight
from this band. Brand New. The best emocore stuff ever in my opinion.
And these guys know they are the best, as stated in Okay, I Believe
You But My Tommy Gun Don't, "We admit to the truth, we are the
best at what we do."
Brand New formed and released their first album Your Favorite Weapon on October 9, 2001.
This record was a big success and turned out to be much more popular than expected.
This was Brand New's less mature, more pop-punk sounding album. After this, they set off touring for 14 monthes
with multiples bands such as Dashboard Confessional and Taking Back Sunday.
After this Brand New hit the studio to start recording their second album.
The guys of Brand New were going for a more mature and deep album. They didn't want
this to be a teenage album, like Your Favorite Weapon. During the second day of recording,
Garrett Tierney's car was stolen, so this added a little more excitement to the recordin process.
Finally on June 17, 2003. The record was amazing. The band obviosuly reached their goal of a more mature
album. Singer Jesse Lacey's sound has greaty changed, for the better, and guitarist Vin Accardi's
skill is obviously greater than before. This is a much deeper album, with emotional, personal lyrics,
and an amazing sound. Currently Brand New is out touring the UK. Please come to Morton...

Adam Lazzara, from Taking Back Sunday, had sex with Jesse Lacey's girlfriends, so he wrote a song about it. He holds a grudge.
