Wow, Armor For Sleep. These guy are like nothing
I've ever heard before. The first time I heard them was after my brother got back from their concert in
Morton. They were playing with some local bands, and I was not yet really into this kind
of music, plus I had no idea they were playing here anyway, but looking back on it, I'm very upset I missed this concert.
Anyway, these guys can play some great music. They have a style all their own and if you haven't heard them, check them out.
Armor For Sleep started off with Ben Jorgenson spending a summer learning
to play his mom's acoustic guitar, then writing some songs. He then recorded a two song CD for $100, playing all the instruments himself.
Then, during his freshman year at college, he found three other guys to start a band with after several unsuccessful tries.
They started playing around and soon became pretty popular. They decided to head out to California to record a debut album.
After recording this, they met with indie label Equal Vision Records, and were signed on. While this was all happening, copies of
their record Dream To Make Believe were being passed around and soon they were getting offers to tour, and had the oppurtunity to play wih bands
such as Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, and Hey Mercedes, along with many others.
Currently Armor For Sleep is touring with From Autumn to Ashes.
