Prolog 1�History
Once, upon a world far away, a thing called magic existed. Seeing as though this planet is ecologically stabled, let us call this world Balance. On this World of Balance, magic was not simply art of illusion. Magic was real. Magic was an actual, psychic force. Magic had the power to heal� & destroy.
However, power without courage & wisdom can seldom prevent greed. This lust to possess the arcane led to a great war. The War of the Magi reduced the world to a scorched wasteland. The result: magic simply ceased to exist.
In the aftermath of the global disaster, dramatic changes took place. Plant & animal life changed�mutated faster than natural evolution could ever manage. Only 1 kind of classification could be given to these creatures�monsters. The dominant sentient race, humans, learned to adapt.
Over the course of 1,000 years, they have discovered the marvels of science. Because of iron, gunpowder, & steam engines, new inventions have begun to show nearly everyday. Magic is nothing but a distant & fading memory. In an age of pre-industrialism, technology leads to the future.
However, there are some who wish to revive magic, to twist it to serve themselves. As 1 of the largest countries, the Empire has created experimental fighting machines, stronger than anyone has ever seen.
Could they have somehow incorporated magic into the mysterious Magitek Armor? And if so, could it be that they are on the verge of repeating a senseless & deadly mistake?
Chapter 1
