INT. HOSPITAL HALL - NIGHT

               Jonathan rushes down the hallway until he gets to labor and
               delivery.  He's stopped by Brenda.

                                   BRENDA
                         Where do you think you're going?

                                   JONATHAN
                         Polly Goodin.  I'm looking for
                         Polly Goodin.

                                   BRENDA
                         She's already in delivery. 

                                   JONATHAN
                         I'm the father.

                                   BRENDA
                         Well you don't look much like a
                         martian, but okay. 



               INT. DELIVERY ROOM - HOSPITAL - NIGHT

               Polly sweats and grunts during labor. She marks furiously on
               the paper while she does. 

                                   DIRK
                         I need you to push honey. 

               Polly strains and pushes as Jonathan enters dressed in scrub
               gear.

                                   JONATHAN
                         I'm here Polly.

                                   POLLY
                         Who the hell are you? 

                                   DIRK
                         It's coming!  I can see -- the
                         head? 

               He looks a little confused.

                                   DIRK (cont'd)
                         They didn't look like that in the
                         book. 

               The entire room gasps at what they see. 

                                   POLLY
                         What is it?  WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY
                         BABY? 

               A long green hand wraps around the inside of Polly's leg. 
               She screams.

               The CAMERA ZOOMS IN on the piece of paper that Polly was
               writing on.  It's full of scribbles, but in the middle it's
               very clear what's written.

               I AM BENNY.
