Limp Bizkids
These are
pictures and info on the Limp Bizkit
Members from when they were kids.
Fred
Durst
Fred
went to Hunter Huss HS in Gastonia, NC.
Fred's dad Bill says his son was an
average student, never getting in trouble
academically. He played baseball,
football and basketball and skateboarded.
The skateboarding took place at Kona,
where Fred idolised and mimicked
legendary skater Tony Hawk. But once high
school approached, sports were left
behind. ''He found girls, and they found
his blue eyes,'' Anita (mom) says. Fred
attended Hunter Huss High School in
Gastonia, not Terry Parker, as many local
fans believe. He was born at
Jacksonville's Memorial Hospital, but the
family moved to Gastonia - Anita's
birthplace - when Fred was 1 1/2 years
old. Bill and Fred returned to
Jacksonville after Bill retired, but
Anita stayed behind for Corey (brother)
to graduate.
Here
are two pictures of Fred as a child.

Wes Borland
Wes was a Douglas Anderson
School of the Arts student. ''I've got an
archive tape of Wes singing that his fans
would love to hear, but I do have my
professional ethics. They were never
afraid to do different things and see
what would happen. These guys were going
to play music no matter if they became
famous or not.'' - Tom Haller, Director
of Bands, Douglas Anderson. ''Wes was
kind of a goofball, a class clown, but a
really nice guy. We had a sculpture class
together, and I built this huge chicken
wire and plastic sculpture that was about
8 feet tall. It was a performance piece,
and we beat it up with bats. I think he
enjoyed doing that.'' - Mark Dobelstein,
24, Douglas Anderson graduate. Here is a
picture of Wes in high school.

Sam
Rivers
Sam Went to Bishop Kenny. ''Sam is down
to earth and a really nice guy. Very
personable. He's hasn't changed at all,
even with the success the band has had.''
- Melissa Tine, 20, John Otto's
girlfriend of four years.

John Otto
John went to
Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
''John always had a lot of potential, but
I think his worst enemy was himself. He
had tons of talent, and I sometimes
wished he would have gone into another
direction with his music. But he seems to
be doing fine now. He got interested in
other kinds of music during his senior
year and stayed with it.'' - Ace Martin,
Department Chair of Instrumental Music
and Jazz band director at Douglas
Anderson. ''Otto
was in visual arts and we had some
classes together. He liked making these
cars and motorcycles like you would see
in hell.'' - Mark Dobelstein.
