My mother was born in Hirna, Hararghe. Her father moved to Hirna from Gayint, Gonder after the Segelie war. Her mother was from Menz & Jiru, Shoa.
My father was born in Wegera, Gondar. His parents were both born and raised in Wegera, Gondar. At the age of 16 he left his parents and went to Addis Ababa looking for better life. He later joined the police force and moved to Hararghe where he met my mother.
My parents have lived in five different provinces and along the way they have brought us to this world. They started in Harar then to Bale-Goba then to Addis Ababa and to Jimma and finally settled in Gondar.
