Combat Russian Twist Handle

I've shown how to make both a russian twist bar holder and a portable russian twist bar holder. They both work great and you can just grab the bar if you like. However, I decided to make a combat russian twist handle. You can do a variety of movements with it. It has three different points to grab. Right next to the bar that goes to the weight bar, on the pipes that stick out, and on the outer most pipes. Grabbing the pipes that stick out most mimics a combat situation, in the clinch. Small movement that resemble the struggle while in the clinch can be performed. It actually has the feel of a clinch.

Making the handle was easy. The pipe T that slides over the bar is 2". I then used an adaptor to get to 1 1/4 pipe that makes up the rest of the device. Then a 6" pipe, a coupler, 5" pipe, and another T. Then on each side a 2" pipe, another T, and a 5" pipe one way and a 6" the other. The exact size and length isn't important. I used 1 1/4 and the sizes because I had most on hand. Any size pipe could be used and different lengths within reason would work. The 2" T, however, does need to be that size. I also plan to make some squishy handles for it.

Weight can be added to the bar, as shown above, or hanging off the bar from a chain. I recommend trying both.

Revised

This is my final version. I took two 1 1/4 to 3/4 inch reducers and added a 5" pipe to each. I put on part of a pool noodle on each and glued, heavily, with goop. I then put end caps on each and attached to the device. I let it dry a couple days. I also replaced the 2" center pipes with 1". I took off the end pipes. I can put them back on, if I want to use them. They reduce ROM a bit. It works great!
