The main aim of this project is to facilitate the needy and poor special children of Govt. Qandeel Secondary School of Blind Children. (Located near Kohati Bazaar, Rawalpindi).

Children with special needs are like all children. They need to be physically comfortable, feel loved and secure, and have opportunities to play that help the body and mind grow and develop. The faculty at this school is in need of traditional study equipment for blind children, such as Cassette Players and CD Players, which are used for recording lectures.
The teachers (Mostly Disabled themselves) provide their students with lecture CDs, cassettes and USB lectures as study aid. These students lack study resources (CD/USB players), which are only few in number and are only available to them while they are in school premises.
Which means that these students can hardly study their course material when they are away from school. Many of the students do not even have walking sticks and are assisted by other children, who can hardly see for themselves.
Sports equipment is hardly available to these children. These special Children are only encouraged to participate in sports (cricket etc), when a sports event is coming up. Almost all the students studying at the school are poor and cannot afford these items on their own.

Therefore our main emphasis in this regard is to generate funds sufficient enough to donate equipment such as walking Sticks, USB/CD players/CD-USB-Cassette Converters, Talking Watches, Sport and other entertainment aid for blind children plus any other items which are required.
Donations are NOT provided to the school, but directly to the deserving children and concerned teachers. The reason for our hesitance towards providing equipment directly to the school is justified because of our findings. The school itself is (supposed to be) funded by Government, but Government Aid (unfortunately like most Government Organizations) disappears without any trace. Mostly the equipment provided by the Government is locked up in the school and is only taken out on special occasions.
Our frequent visits to the school have made us aware of all these facts, after which we have decided to look directly after the interest of special and needy students.

Therefore, in order to help these children, we need support from you and others who are far well off from these special children. Please donate whatever you can for this charitable cause. We need your assistance in terms of financial aid and/or other handy equipment mentioned above.
