The return of both Mike and Todd has reminded me that I should update so that everyone can have a little insight in the way I've been spending my days. When I sit down to think about it there are so many stories to tell, but I'm not really sure that any of them really matter. I got my party on for a good majority of the time, rest assured.

As for where I'm headed, I've decided that Winnipeg isn't going to be big enough to hold this cowboy and it is time to jump ship. In order to do this I'm going to have to make some lifestyle changes to conserve money. As Stefan so expertly put it I need to forgo getting messed up so that I can eventually do so in a better place. Current destinations receiving consideration are New York (one city with the population of our entire country) and England (as they speak the language and are a lot closer to Europe). In the meantime I may look for a second job, or just look for a better paying primary one. We'll see, I'll keep you all posted. I'm still trying to convince myself that what I want to accomplish is possible.

But enough of that heartfelt bullshit...

Last night, in an attempt to fun some good clean fun, Stefan and I went to the Silvercity, blew the line and walked into the new Rock movie, Walking Tall (or some shit like that). I can honestly say it was the biggest piece of shit that I have ever subjected myself to.

The fact that there was hardly any open seats in the theater was both amazing and disturbing. It seems that people of all ages can enjoy The Rock kicking ass with a 4x4 truck and a big chunk of lumber. There was so many ridiculous points in the movie that I laughed harder than I have in a long time.

The whole thing was shot like a music video, never holding a shot for more that 30 seconds, and stood as an unsettling reminder of where corporate pop culture is taking us. I suggest you all see it, so long as you don't pay for it. I would go into the details, but I would prefer to not waste any more of my time thinking about it.

SodomizingSarah.com

I've finally made the next step to spreading my musical disease. I own Sodomizing Sarah dot com and should have something working and up by the end of the week. I'm currently working on two albums, one which is all electronic, and one where I play drums, guitar and scream all at the same time. The latter will be quite low-fi, recorded with one microphone on the tape deck I got from work for $15. I've recorded a cover of In Da Club, which is supposed to premiere on free range radio, a local college show, this Wednesday.

Rock on Chicago.

Jimmy, update your friggin' blog
