Designer Chicks & Blood Baths
Last night was another good night on the town. I kicked the party off at the Red River College Open house. The event is held each year to showcase their new crop of designers to people in the industry. Our project manager tipped us off, so we went down and checked it out.If the free beer and cool art wasn't enough to keep you entertained, there was alot of good looking designer-type chicks wandering around. Aside from the downtown smell and the bad parking, I can say that it was more than worth the trip.
From there, it was down to the Pyrimid Caberet. There was supposed to be four bands on the bill, however, only two of them played. Volition put on an ok show, but I think've seen them play better. The headliners Three Inches of Blood wasn't quite what I expected. They play melodic, Iron Maiden style metal and they have two singers. One guy sings in a high pitch, 80's Metal squeel while the other does low screams and the whatnot. I was impressed. They definatly put down a very solid set.
Word to the wise
Don't ever watch the movie Porky's 2. While the original may be a classic, the second film is painful to watch. Crocidile Dundee in LA, on the other hand was not as bad as anticipated. However, I'm sure you could find something more constructive to do with your time than watch these awful films. I couldn't. |  |
