Monday night I was bored, so I went and checked out the Matrix at the Silver City theatre. Since I got there late I had to buy a ticket for a later show. I took a spot in the 3rd row and waited. Inspired by the theatre atmosphere and bored out of my tree I pulled a pen and paper out of my man purse and began writing. About five minutes later two guys came and sat down beside me. Unable to mind their own business I was forced to talk to them. One of them went to buy popcorn and I was left with Marcel.

You could tell that Marcel was didn't get out much. His hand was sweaty when i shook it. After he finished pestering me about what I was writing he bragged about how he would soon have his own internet domain name. Then a Toyota Matrix ad came on.

The ad showed the car with angel wings sketched on either side of it and just when you sat there looking at it long enough, a devil tail appeared out the back.

"I can relate to that," my new friend said aloud. So I gave him what he wanted. I asked what the hell he was talking about. This resulted in a 5 minutes overview of a relationship (from back in 2000) that had gone bad. I guess she just "went freaky".

The movie itself was pretty good. Some of the CG stuff looked lame and the love story pissed me off. It seemed like it was aimed more at the comic book nerd sector this time around. Marcel got talkative (and twice as sweaty) during the Showcase-style, softcore porno scene, but that was expected. I didn't feel this movie explained itself as well as the first, but would still recommend everyone but Sara(h) see it.

There was a birthday, so I went to celebrate it

On Tuesday I decided I needed to keep up appearances and play another show so I sent out a mass email. Nobody offered me an opening gig, but I got invited to a birthday party. Apparently the bass player in one of the bands I'd played with (a few months ago) was having a birthday. Never one to turn down a party, I thought I'd best go check it out.

Party it was. There were girls playing some crazy dice game that required them to make out and beer was free. Flashing was the order of the evening for a couple of the ladies and I wasn't there to complain. These people knew how to party.

Yep. Party Indeed.
