Previously on Dylan's Top 10:
I knocked Thor out of the Top 10 to make room for USM. Sorry, something had to go. I still love the book, but in these times, with the deluge of great work out there, you gots to make some hard choices. Only room for ten on this raft.

Shazam: Monster Society of Evil by Jeff Smith - appearently this continuity will be carried forward in a new series by 'Herobear and the Kid' creator Mike Kunkel. Looking forward to it!

Nextwave (Ellis/Immonen) was cancelled due to less-than-flagship sales, which I suppose was inevitable. It was a bit too extreme for many people's tastes. A lot of people wrote it off as a joke book, but I see it as a comic-book form rant from one of the most prolific writers in the industry. Even so, the immaculate artwork of Stuart Immonen puts this book into the 'must have' department. I hear that he's going to take over Ultimate Spiderman - if this is true, then I will have to make some more room on my Top 10.

Civil War (Millar/McNiven) was just amazing - When they first announced it I figured it was just another lame cross-over 'event' but I was wrong. It is really good, even though I am still trying to come to terms with the way it ended for Cap. We'll see where Brubaker takes his character.

Eternals (Gaiman/RomitaJr) has finished its extended 7-issue run, and it was beautiful. Nice epic world-building, and quite the counterpoint to the gritty realpolitik of Civil War. I hope to see an ongoing, but I dunno how likely that is. Eternals doesn't seem to have been all that huge with the masses. I loved it. Real Kirby mythos stuff.
