| PHYSICAL |
Bus topology consist of singal
central cable, T-connector and terminator. Single central cable was
connected all nodes in the network. T-connector connect the nodes to
the single central cable. Terminator prevent the signal from bouncing
back. |
All the nodes are connect to the central connection devices (hub / switch ) thus, forming a star. |
Cable in the network are in a closed loop and all the nodes are arranged along the close loop cable. |
| LOGICAL |
Data are transmit in a series of
signals. Data transmit in both directions. All the nodes will receive
the data but only intended recipients receie the data and the othes
will ignore the data. |
Hub / Switch -the device that provides a common central connection point for other devices on a network. All data transfer from one device to another passess through the hub or switch. -The hub takes a signal that comes from any device and passes it along to all the other devices in the network. |
Data
transmit around the ring in one direction by using token passing. Each
device takes a turn sending and receiving information through the use
of token. |
