In Sydney, Australia they met for the first time and both we not very impressed. A car can change the whole lot, even when it was a Trusty Old Falcon. The idea was to give Hilary a 800 km ride to Melbourne, the result was a 35.000km long journey and a backpack full of travel experiences. Since then, we are close friends.
Back in the Netherlands, life changed dramatically. We both went to University. After three years Hilary became a Physiotherapist. Reiner started a Degree in Medical Science, but changed his plans and is studying Sport Health and Management.
For the both of us, travelling is like a virus. Once it is in your blood, it never leaves and always comes back. This time the virus is back for a trip on a recumbent bike to Athens (Greece) to see the Olympics. The Olympics virus is the same as a travelvirus. Once you�re infected, it keeps on returning and you just have to be part of it. After Australia, this is something what is going to be briljant.
