A Little Bit About Beagles...
In general the beagle is sweet tempered, easy going and very inquisitive.
They can be quite stubborn. Which leads most people to believe they are not very smart. I don't think of it that way. I think it's pretty smart of them not to do just anything anyone tells them to "just because". With a beagle it's more of an attitude. "You want me to do what? Well, what's in it for me?". Anyone who has lived with a beagle knows they are a very smart and determined breed. Especially if there is something to be gained (like food).
