| Outings range from day trips to long weekends and campouts. The emphasis is on learning, friendliness, informality and fun. New members are always welcome. Outings are ususally conducted by a specialist or member who has specialist skills in the area or the particular environment being looked at. Walks are at a leisurely pace with lots of different things being spotted and discussed. Flowers and birds seen require at least an attempt at identification and usually are identified, the geology needs discussion, weeds, erosion points, suspicious holes and nests all receive some attention.
