Our Skills and Training Center gives members of our community, mainly women, the chance to learn skills to prepare for new types of work. We believe that the education of every person is vital to their quality of life. The more training they receive will better prepare them for future endeavors, making them more productive members within the community. Areas of study at our skills and training center:Welding: Courses up to six months and one year. Carpentry: Courses up to three months, six months, and one year. Sewing: Courses up to three months, six months, and one year.

Students studying baking in our skills and training program Computers: Courses up to three months, six months, and diplomas awarded after one year. There are now new basic courses in word processing, web page construction, and powerpoint. Now both students and non-students can use our computer lab Mondays through Fridays for a nominal fee.

We are currently in the need of donations to maintain the machinary and equipment used during courses, as well as extra funds to help pay for the expenses of our instructors. Advantages of our Skills and Training Center We hope by the end of study, our students will be prepared for a new job, work in the service sector, or even be ready to start their own businesses.
