| Chapter Twenty Six- Cried a River Cassy blinked, opening her eyes the next morning. She found a pair of blue eyes starring right back at her�s. �Morning,� Cassy yawned, stretching. �Morning,� Justin said back. �How long have you been watching me?� Justin shrugged his shoulders. �Awhile.� Cassy sighed. �I better start getting ready for school.� �I was thinking, do you think you can miss school for just today?� �I really shouldn�t, since it�s my senior year.... why?� �Well, I called my mom last night before you came over and told her about the baby.� �What did she say?� Cassy asked fearfully. �She was disappointed in me, but that�s it. She really wants to meet you. so I was thinking maybe we could go and visit her and my step-dad today. This is if you want to.� �Sure,� Cassy said, looking down. �What�s wrong?� Justin asked concerned, lifting her chin. �What if they don�t like me? What if they just think of me as a slut? Cassy asked, tears spilling down her cheeks. �They would never think that!� Justin said sternly. �They�re going to love you! �If you say so,� she said still feeling doubtful. �Cassranda Renee Smith, I love you. That alone will make them love you. Ok?� �Ok,� Cassy sniffled, wiping away her tears. �I feel like I�ve cried a river this last week. I think I�m going to go take a shower.� Alright. I�m going to call my mom to let her know that we�re coming over.� |
