Chapter 7 - Get Out Of My Head
They say when a storm is rolling in you can feel the pressure and tension building up in the air. they say that it can even cause some animals and humans to get headaches. For John and Dani the headaches were on as their anger builds up. The storm was about to come with no turning back.

The offices were all black expect for exit signs. Everyone was home, off doing whatever it is they do at night. The place couldn't be more empty, well empty expect for dani who sits in her office which is only lit by the light of her comp. For the last couple hours she has been reading the mean emails she received. She had someone sick desire to see everyone's idea on him. To know how everyone honestly feels. Surprisingly, most to all the letters were from girls who never have met him, all saying he is a creative and sensitive soul and that she is a heartless bitch.

"I sooo love my readers," she says in deep sarcasm, not meaning it at all. How could she be happy with people who trust her to print the truth then get mad when she tells it like it is.  "Hypocrites," she hisses before sitting back in her seat.

Paying the taxi driver, John reaches over, forcing the door open only to climb out. No one knew where he was which could be good and very bad considering he had just gotten off stage an hour ago. He would have been here sooner but he didn't want anyone to know where he was going. Not after what they all ready from her.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting up from her desk, Dani grabs her coffee up, taking it from its perch while she walks to the door for a refill. Without looking at the clock she knew it was well after ten. The janitor was easily on its way out while computers hum softly. This was her favorite time at work, especially on bad days like today. It helped her see how much of her hard work has paid off and how work is her whole life.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walking off the elevator he shivers a bit. No one for miles; if he hadn't known better he would think the place was deserted but no, after calling around all day, he knew without a doubt she was there.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"
They love to tell you stay inside the lines," she sighs softly under her breath as she walks through the black hall, moving back to her office with a hot cup of coffee in hand.

"Dani?" John mouths as he hears the voice. Cautiously he moves around, looking down the hall to see her walking and singing.

"
But something better is on the other side."

He tip-toes closer, inching his way behind her, creeping as if he is a hunter and she is the prey.

"
I want to run through the halls of my high school. I wanna ..."

Knowing the next lyric he quickly, like a tiger, pounces out at her. His arms encircling her petite frame causing her to scream and throw her coffee up.

To John's unfortunate however the cup hits him in the chin, knocking his head back while coffee spills down the front of him, making a groan escape from deep with in. One scolding pain.

Feeling her attacker release her, Dani whips around only to scream again when she realizes it's none other then John.
"YOU IDIOT!" she yells before stepping forward, quickly without a second thought grabbing his coffee soaked shirt, pulling it away from his skin. "What the hell are you doing here!"

Hissing still in pain, John opens his eyes, having closed them shut initially when he was burned. "What is wrong with you!" he yells back at her glaring some. "And what am I doing here? What are you doing here besides standing me up!"

"I'm sorry, you attacked me and got hurt," She says with a smirk before grabbing the hem of his shirt, pulling it up.

"Woah, woah, woah.. what are you doing?" John asks as he looks at her confused, backing away some.

Annoyed now, Dani looks at him insulted before yanking his shirt up again finding that this time he isn't fighting it. "Coffee stains and it's still warm. We need to get your shirt off and put it in cool water."

"You just know everything, don't you?" he grunts before letting her pull it up and over his head, leaving him just in a pair of jeans.

"Of course I do. that's why I'm the owner of this company," she says with another ruse smirk before leaning over and picking up her empty coffee mug.

John stands their shocked for a second. Stepping closer to her, his eyes narrow just a bit.  He knew it, her excuse last night, her attitude, her missing his concert and the mean article. Her job.

"You know, to be stood up for another man is understandable but for a job... are you really that pathetic?" he says in a cold whisper as a hand comes up, his fingers roughly running over her cheek only to make her gulp hard, shivering some. He was mad, madder then ever. Finally someone sees him as a regular guy but what does she do? Mind games.

"J-j-john.." she stutters quickly before leaning into his touch. Why was she moving in? Last night she made it clear she couldn't do this. He had no clue what effect he was having as her knees weaken and everything in her begins to cave.

"You have no clue how vulnerable you look right now.." he barely can whisper before leaning in, his nose brushing against her. Dani quickly takes a sharp breath, her eyes squeezing close as she forces herself to pull back, her head dropping down as she feels numb, unsure of what to say.

Shaking his head he drops his hand, looking at her before away.
